Ignite your child's creativity this summer at Ember & Root!
June 1-July 16

The E&R Camper Experience
Ember & Root BRITE Summer Programs are part day, choice-focused experience where curiosity leads the way and campers ages 6–13 spend their summer afternoons creating, experimenting, building, imagining, and connecting.
We intentionally keep a very low staff-to-camper ratio, accepting only 15–18 students per week with 3 highly qualified facilitators, so each child feels known, supported, and encouraged.
At Ember & Root we are
-
Child-led – honoring voice and choice
-
Hands-on – learning through doing
-
Creativity-centered – celebrating ideas over outcomes
-
Community-minded – fostering belonging and collaboration
-
Intentionally small with great staff

Weekly Art and Science Camp- Mondays and Tuesdays, 12-4
Campers enjoy a 1–1.5 hour Art Workshop, where they build skills through fun, hands-on projects like sculpture, watercolor painting, drawing, and mixed media.
They also take part in a 1-hour STEM Lab, packed with exciting engineering challenges and science experiments that spark curiosity and creative problem-solving.
The rest of their time is all about choice and creativity.
Campers enjoy our signature self-directed experience, where they choose how to spend their time in our enrichment-filled space. Options include makerspace activities, arts and crafts, cardboard building tools, board games, STEM materials, robotics, collaborative games, and outdoor time in our fenced yard — all supported by our attentive staff.
We keep our camp intentionally small, with just 15–18 campers each week and 3 highly qualified facilitators. This low staff-to-camper ratio ensures every child feels known, supported, and encouraged.
