Our Mission
To create an inclusive learning community where individuals are encouraged to embrace their unique strengths, skills, and interests and recognize and celebrate those things in others. Each session includes an invitation to explore a breadth of curated content, collaborate with mixed aged peers, and the opportunity to pursue personal goals in the context of community.

All children deserve to learn in a space where they are valued as they are.

Children should be given space and time to grow in what is meaningful to them.
Behavior is communication and hold a soft structure in order to remain flexible to learners’ wants and needs.
OUR PROGRAMS
Homeschool Enrichment
A learner-directed homeschool program for ages 7–14.
At Ember & Root, kids follow their interests, set personal goals for their time, and achieve at their own pace—all within a supportive, mixed-age community. With guidance from thoughtful facilitators and access to lots of hands-on materials and ideas, learners build confidence, curiosity, and purpose through meaningful, self-directed experiences.
The
Spark Club
A premium choice-filled extracurricular program for grades 2–6.
The Spark Club offers high-interest activities and rich resources in a small group setting where kids have the freedom to explore what excites them most. With hands-on materials and caring guidance, learners grow their knowledge in ways that are meaningful to them—through curiosity, creativity, and community.
Special events
Ember & Root hosts special events and day-off camps throughout the year—Wild & Wacky Games, Babysitting Workshops, Spooks & Sparks, and more. We offer experiences for a variety of ages, each designed to spark curiosity, connection, and joyful exploration.
