Ember & Root After School Enrichment Program
Grades K–6 | Tuesdays, 3:30–5:30 PM $130 per session
At The Spark Club, we’ve created a space where curious, self-driven, and creative-thinking young people can:

Pursue their own projects with the support of skilled facilitators

Explore hands-on, highly engaging workshops in tech, art, science, and engineering

Make meaningful choices about how they spend their time

Be part of a small group community that values individuality and be given a space to showcase it!
If your child is always inventing, building, asking questions, crafting, experimenting, creating, or teaching themselves new skills—they’ll feel right at home here.
Enrollment
Drop-in sessions may be available to enrolled students if space allows. You can attend all year, take breaks, or just come for one 6 week session--whatever works best for your family.
Six-week sessions
Our program year is divided into six week sessions. Each session will feature an engaging theme that helps shape the projects, invitations, and workshop ideas—but choice and personal interests will always be what guides how your child spends his or her time.
Whether they want to code, cook, build, act, draw, invent, or do something completely unexpected, we support them in following what excites them most.
Session 1- September 1-October 6
Me, Myself, and "Eye"-
A fun mix of creative art projects, hands-on science, and all-about-you adventures! Kids will make dragon eyes, design "About Me" collages, create personalized pendants, invent their own signature popcorn seasoning blend, and enjoy plenty of choice throughout the afternoon. Perfect for K–6th graders who love to create, explore, and try new things!

SAMPLE LEARNER EXPERIENCES
Nile, Ty, Joon, Kiersten, and Aly, varying ages
After seeing a demo on coding robots to play tag, five learners dive into programming. A facilitator points them to the Spark Wall, where different versions of tag are posted. Intrigued, they explore the options—and when the lawn opens, they teach themselves a new version and bring it to life.
