Now Hiring: Summer Program Director, Co-Facilitators & Assistant Facilitators Fayetteville, AR | Summer 2026

Ember & Root Summer Program is a hands-on, child-centered camp where kids explore, create, and lead their own learning through STEM projects, art activities, and personal projects, all while building community and having fun.

We’re looking for engaged, creative, flexible, and dependable adults to bring joy, curiosity, and leadership to our summer program.

 Summer Program Roles

Program Director

Rate: $25–$28/hr
Lead staff and students daily, holding the vibe of Ember & Root when the owner is not on-site. Oversee activities, supervise and support facilitators, and ensure the quality, energy, and philosophy of camp are present all day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations, activities, and staff

• Lead some programming

• Support children’s personal projects and group experiences

• support facilitators and guide curriculum implementation

• Communicate with families as needed

Ideal Candidate has:

• Experience leading programs for children

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Organized, flexible, playful, and dependable

 

Co-Facilitators

Rate: $20–$22/hr
Guide daily group activities and support children’s individual projects alongside the Program Director. Help maintain a safe, joyful, and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead STEM and Art activities with children

• Support curiosity, creativity, and social connection

• Engage with and encourage children

Assistant Facilitators (2 part day Positions)

Rate: $15–$18/hr
Support logistics and join children in play and projects. Affirm curiosity, creativity, and kindness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with setup, cleanup, and transitions

• Join children in hands-on activities and personal projects

• Model care, patience, and flexibility

No teaching experience required—just kindness, patience, creativity, and a love of learning alongside children!

 

✅ Requirements for All Roles

• Clear background check, fingerprinting, etc. 

• Paid training prior to camp start

• Occasional staff planning meetings

• Program Director: CPR/First Aid Certification (training provided if needed)

• Reliable attendance is essential
